June 29 - Air Conditioning

I love my air conditioner.  I am not sure how we got by without it in the past.

If you are moving to Idaho, I would make sure to get one of these in your house!

June 28 - River is still high

Not sure why I like this building, but I have taken a couple of different pictures of it.  As you can see the Snake river is still really high.  It is crazy high and there is still a lot of snow up in the hills.

June 27 -Bogey and I miss our family

The house is empty and quite without my family around.  We miss everyone!

June 26 - Pictures of apples and roses and dropping off Tyler and Micah

Below are some pictures of the apples on our trees and roses that are starting to bloom!  It is nice to have summer!

Also, we took Tyler and Micah to Grandpa and Grandma Bates' house.  Mariah and Wendy are heading to girls camp tomorrow so this is a good week for them to spend time helping the Bates family.

June 25 - Saturday at Walmart

Had to take a picture of Walmart on Saturday.

As you can see, not very many people in this shot.  Wonder where everyone was at?

June 24 - Happy 98th Birthday Grandma!

Grandma - Happy 98th Birthday!

I hope you like the 100 Peruvian Lilies that we sent you.  I was going to have them take two out (one for each year of your life), but I thought "what the heck, lets make it an even 100!"

Here is a picture of what they should look like!

June 23 - Tyler Update

Below is a picture of Tyler.  As you can see he still is storing food in his cheeks.

He is actually doing really great!

June 22 - Truck smaller than mine? No Way!

I thought it would never happen but below is photographic proof.  It is not a very good picture, but it is proof.

I found a truck in Idaho that is smaller than mine.  I could not believe it so I had to take a picture.  I was looking down at this truck at the stop light.  It was so cool not to be in the smallest truck at a stop light.

This is one of the tender mercies that was talked about in general conference several years ago!

June 21 - Tyler looses his Wisdom

Today Tyler lost his wisdom.  Or was that he got his wisdom teeth taken out?  Either way he looks like a chipmunk.  One of his leaders said that he needs to stop storing food in his cheeks.

He did really good for the oral surgery and Dad is really mad.  He wishes that he was knocked out when he got his wisdom teeth out.  I still hold this over my mother's head (isn't that right mom).

Here is a before and after picture.

June 20 - Dinner Again

Tonight my family took me to dinner at Stockman's Restaurant.  We celebrated Father's Day again tonight. I have a great family that I truly love.

If you are in Idaho Falls and looking for a good stake house, this place is not too bad.  They have all kinds of food and the stake is good.

June 19 - Happy Father's Day

What a great day.  Got to sleep in a little, only have a couple of extra things to do at church and spend the afternoon with the family.  Below is us playing my favorite game "Ticket to Ride".

Also enjoyed the phone call that I had with my Dad.  Thanks for everything you do for us!

Also Wendy got to talk to her dad.

We both are grateful for the fathers we have!

June 18 - Golfing with Tyler

This is a test of posting a picture from my phone. Tyler and I went golfing with Neil (YM President). We had a great time. The flag on this hole is through the trees. I did not hit a good drive (but I was in the fairway). I did get a bogey on this hole.

June 17 - Mariah and Bogey

Bogey really likes Mariah.  As you can see below, he is resting his head on her leg.

Kind of a strange dog sometimes.

June 16 - Tim McGraw

Wendy won tickets to Tim McGraw on Monday and the concert was tonight.  She took Mariah to Boise and they had a great time at the show and shopping the next morning.

She was very excited to win!  I am happy she took Mariah.

June 15 - Garden Pictures of Peas

Below are some pictures from our garden.  Things are starting to grow.

June 14 - Cheese Curds

Today we took a trip to Manwaring Handmade Cheese and bought some cheese curds.  I don't think I have had fresh cheese curds, and man, I have been missing out!  It was fantastic.

Bro. Manwaring is a member of our ward and he just opened up this shop near Rigby.  If anyone wants great cheese, then they need to stop!

June 13 - Golf Tournament

Today Tyler and Micah played in a golf tournament.  Tyler ended up in 1st place for his age group and Micah ended up third.  Micah got really wet, as it rained during her round.

June 12 - The Game of Life

Today after church our family played "Life".  Wendy ended up winning, but we all had a good time.  It is always nice to play games with the family.

June 11 - I worry about Mariah - Her RUMBI Grill Sleepover

Some days I worry about Mariah (ok - I worry every day, just some more than others).  Last night after the movie she decided to stand (or sleep) in line at the new Rumbi Grill that opened up today.  The first 100 people in line got a free meal every week for a year.  Mariah has never eaten at a Rumbi, but her friends Kaitlin and Lindsey Ball) has.  Right after the movie she drove over to get in line.  Her friends got there early and set up a tent.  They ended up being number 33 and 34 in line so they got their free meals (I just hope she likes the food).  They spent about 12 hours in line ...... now you see why I worry!

Below are Kaitlin, Lindsey and Mariah getting their booklet (they look a little tired to me).

June 10 - Super 8 Movie

Tonight I took Tyler and Micah to see Super 8.  Micah had a sleep over with her girl cousins (I guess this made the boy cousins a little mad).  So we all had a busy night.  Sorry no picture of the sleep over ..... don't know where my camera was.  So I just included a poster of the movie.

By the way - I loved this movie.  IT WAS GREAT!

June 9 - Micah Selling Lemonade

Micah set up a lemonade stand outside of the home today.  She made about $10.00 in just about an hours worth of work.  I was a little disappointed as she did not give any to me, I had to buy my own drink.  Guess she is going to be a great business woman!

June 8 - Geese along the river

Geese are loving the high water.  Took these pictures along the road near the river.  It is nice to see the "mommy" taking care of her chicks.

June 7 - Snake River is VERY high

Took this photo of the Snake River at Idaho Falls.  It is hard to see, but if you look at the bridge you can see the water is almost up to the bottom of the bridge.  There is also a lot of water going over the falls.  When I look at the mountains, I still see snow up there, so there is still a lot of run-off coming off them.

June 6 - Dinner at Olive Garden

Tonight Wendy and I  (and the kids) celebrated our wedding anniversary by going to dinner as a family.  We went to Olive Garden.  Can't remember what we had, but I do know that we had a good time.  Below are Micah and Mariah with their to-go boxes in front of them (guess they did not finish their dinner).

I love my family!

June 5 - History

Two of the major events happened today in Wendy's life.  One was the Teton Flood and the other is our anniversary.  One was a great tragedy and one was a great blessing.  You will need to ask Wendy which event is a tragedy and which is a blessing (I think that answer changes).

I know that I love her more today than I did when we got married.  She has been a great blessing in my life.  She is a wonderful mother and wife!

June 4 - I looked out the window and what did I see?

I looked out the window and what did I see?  Popcorn popping on the apple tree.

If you look real hard, you can see a bee in some of the below photos (and this was taken with my new phone).  It is nice to have a phone that is attached to my new camera!

June 3 - New Phone

Today I got me mine own phone.  I have had one from work for 7 years and today I got my very own phone.  I still have the same cell phone number.  Work is moving away from owning phones and giving employees a stipend.  They have been asking me to move the the stipend for about 18 months (no real pressure to move until this last month).

Now I won't feel guilty when I have to make a cell phone call.  O - and this phone was take with my new camera!

June 2 - Trip to the Cabin

Today Wendy took the kids to the cabin to do some work with Grandma and Grandpa.  As you can see from the below pictures, there is still some snow .....

I also like the below picture .... very funny.

June 1 - Focus Point

A few days ago I had my camera and was near this fence.  I remember a demonstration I learned about focus point and depth of field.  The below picture was take with a telephoto lens about three feet in front of me.  As you can see there is a very small portion of the picture that is in focus.  This reminded me of my college camera work (some days I really miss that type of work).
