My kids don't read my blog anymore so I thought I would post their Christmas gift. Please don't tell them.
If they are reading this blog, than they know that this is a joke!
Daily photo blog of the Scott Welch family. We started this in July 2010 and made it one year. We will try and keep it going ....... wish us luck and leave a comment on what you like. Forgive us if we skip a day or two.

Nov 29 - Knight Times
Mariah's new paper formate came out today. It looks great. They went to a new layout so it is now like a book and not a full size paper. She had a couple of good articles in it also.
Nov 28 - Sunset
Must say that tonight's sunset was fabulous. I miss the ones in Denver but tonight's was great. The picture does not do it justice.
Nov 27 - Sunday Dinner
Tonight for Sunday dinner we had Top Roman Noodles. Nothing like a bowl of noodles for dinner. It was Micah's turn for dinner and this what she wanted.
And the Denver Broncos won again.

Nov 26 - Two Trees Up
For some reason we put up two Christmas in our house. Today Micah, Mariah and I put up our fake tree. Wendy and Tyler went to the cabin and cut down one for our basement.
Now we have to get them decorated.

Nov 25 - Finishing up with Yard Decorations
Tyler and I put up the rest of our Christmas yard decorations. Tomorrow we start on the inside. I will be glad when this is all done.

Nov 24 - Thanksgiving
Ok, I am having issues with my camera phone. Not sure what is going on. I had a great picture of my dinner which included the world famous Grandma Noodles. I also had some pictures of several people eating.
So instead you see two groups three groups of people. One is looking at ads for tomorrow (or tonight depending on when you go out) shopping. One is playing a game. And one is watching her football team lose. I will let you guess which one is watching the game.
Happy Thanksgiving

Nov 23 - Getting Ready for Tomorrow
Wendy spent the day getting ready for tomorrow. She baked two pies and gathered ingredients for homemade rolls. She baked a Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake and an Almond Joy Coconut pie. They look fantastic. Almost too good to eat......almost.
I had a picture but for some reason my phone didn't save it. Sorry. The below pictures are leftover.

Nov 21 - Doing some shopping for Thanksgiving
Today we did some shopping for Thanksgiving. We will be spending the time with the Bates family. Should be a great meal.
Nov 20 - Puzzle Time
Mariah broke out a puzzle today. She has been working hard on this one. I think this is also a puzzle that we have done in Denver.
I miss my family down in Denver. Wish we could have gone there for Thanksgiving.

Nov 19 - Nap Time for Bogey
Bogey only has a few thing he loves. The only thing missing from his things is a bone (and of course the kids). He has shoes and his stuffed dog. Kind of a cute picture.
Nov 18 - Christmas List - Try #
I post one selfish thing a year. My Christmas list. I will try and get other members of my family to give me their list so shopping for them will also be easier.
Last year I posted my Christmas list because I thought it would make shopping for my Christmas gift easier. I was trying to save everyone time and effort. Little did I know that all my friends went out of there way to get me things NOT on my list. Let me be perfectly clear - You DO NOT need to think outside the box.
This is the same list (and pictures) I posted last Nov 17, 2010, with the exception of the trip to Hawaii and a new computer. It looks like we are going in July (can't wait to go with the Welchs!). The cruise to Alaska is still on the table. You should have been saving all year for these items and, as a forewarning, things that don't make it under the tree this year will still be on the list for next year.
60 inch plasma TV screen
Ford F150 Fully loaded (of course), any color will do
14 x16 foot shed (for my workshop)
New woodworking tool to go in shop
Entertainment center (for the 60 inch plasma)
Gift certificate for our kitchen expansion (around $30,000)
5 Cruise tickets to Alaska
New Side-by-side 4 wheeler with trailer (see below picture). Which will be pulled by the new pickup truck
This is just a partial list so if you need more ideas, please give me a call!

Nov 17 - Tebow Time
Again, my TV shows that the Broncos won. Tim Tebow play horrible for 55 minutes, but he played great the last five. Driving 95 yards to win the game! It is Tebow time in Denver.
Nov 15 - First Present of the Season
Guess who has the first wrapped gift of the season? My guess is Becky. But in the Welch home it is one of my gifts to Wendy. This is something I try and do every year. I usually have the first one wrapped (and the last one).
Nov 14 - Tyler enjoying the evening
What did people do for fun before all these hand held gaming systems? Good thing I am too young to remember.
Nov 13 - Too Early?
These lights came on the Nov 1. I think that is early to turn them on. And this is coming from someone who had their lights up (but not on) all year.

Nov 12 - High School Football
These pictures were taken yesterday at our state high school football game. It was the semi-finals. We ended up loses but we had a chance to win it in the final minutes. It was a fun game.

Nov 11 - Veteran's Day
This is the proclamation that Micah read yesterday
Today there is, and perhaps there always will be, conflict in the world. Like other things of value, freedom does not come cheaply. Part of the cost has already been paid by Americans who answered the call to military duty, when their country needed them. But another part of freedom's cost must continue to be paid long after the guns have been silenced. This debt is owed to American's veterans. Let us continue to help those veterans in need with the greatest possible compassion and efficiency. We can best pay tribute everyday by recognizing what they have achieved and joining them in there resolve to keep America strong and free.
